Uses of Basil Essential Oil
Basil essential oil is a refreshing oil, with a sweet, spicy / herby scent which has liquorice like undertones.

Suggested Uses
Basil is widely used as a natural insect repellent. To keep away flies or other insects, burn 4-5 drops of Basil essential oil in an oil burner or diffuser. Basil essential oil is also effective as an insect repellent when used on the skin; dilute in a carrier / base oil and apply to the skin.
Basil also sooths insect bites and stings; dilute in a carrier / base oil and apply to the skin.
Basil is also an excellent oil to aid concentration and to focus / clear the mind. If you are studying for exams or concentrating on an important piece of work, try diffusing some Basil essential oil in a diffuser or oil burner. The aroma will give clear the mind and give you the strength to continue successfully.
A couple of drops of Basil essential oil on a tissue will also clear the head; the perfect solution to calm and focus during that important exam.
The aroma from Bail essential oil is also very uplifting. Try adding three to four drops of Basil, along with three drops of Lavender essential oil to a warm bath, to lift the spirit.
Basil essential oil blends well with most essential oils, particularly lavender, lemon, eucalyptus, peppermint, bergamot, ginger, geranium, black pepper, pine, tea tree, thyme, rosemary, marjoram and neroli essential oils.
